I made my first Army Men necklace for a gala with a “recycled” theme and it was a hit! Likened to clusters of coral, upon closer inspection, admirers were surprised to see that the necklace was actually made up of toy soldiers. Check them out on my etsy store, just in time for the holidays!

I am thrilled to have moved to a new studio space in South End Charlotte, in the C3Lab co-working space!
C3Lab describes itself as “a new creative hub located for designers, entrepreneurs, freelancers, artists and other creative types. Combining the best features of a home office, coffee shop, business space, community center, & studio shop. This vibrant, dynamic space encourages connection and communication to spark creative thoughts and ideas.”
I think I am going to like my new home and I look forward to inviting clients to come check it out!
Page Leggett wrote a feature on me,“Sharon Dowell: The Artist Who’s Everywhere,” in South Park Magazine along with several other local artists. It was an honor to be included!
I am thrilled to have curated the designers for Charlotte’s 1st Condom Couture fundraiser for Planned Parenthood! I was also honored to model for Caroline Cook-Frers of the Frock Shop; her dress sold for a $1000! It was a GREAT party as well; be on the lookout for Condom Couture 2016.
