I am honored to have been chosen to go to Berlin to paint a life-size bear sculpture for the United Buddy Baer Project. I will incorporate imagery onto the bear that represents Charlotte, Mecklenburg and Mecklenburg, Germany and the connections between the two areas. The bear will then come back and be installed in Uptown Charlotte. Many thanks to those that are sponsoring the project: Alemannia Society, German Saturday School, German American Chamber of Commerce, and the Language & Culture Foundation and Regina and Kurt Waldthausen.
My painting is featured on a billboard in Charlotte at Wilkinson and Morris Field! ArtPop is a program sponsored by the ASC and Adams Outdoor. 20 artists were chosen for the project; it is an initiative to raise awareness of local artists to Charlotteans. Very exciting!
I am thrilled to have eight murals up in an alleyway off of Union Street in Concord, NC. The murals were commissioned by the City and feature eight important historical moments in Concord’s history. Digitally created and printed on metal, one is 14′ x 8.2′ and the other seven are approximately 8′ x 4.’ Isaac Payne was also commissioned at the same time and has an incredible mural nearby as well! Here is a link to a story in the Independent Tribune about the projects.
